Focusing on the movement from word to word and creating visual metaphors to capture the essence of a chosen song, this project was an exercise to focus on basic keyframing and easing in Adobe AfterEffects.
Nights by Frank Ocean is the defining song in his album titled Blonde.
This halfway mark during this song is the break between the entire album, the first half of the song is more laid-back and introspective, while the second half is more aggressive and dynamic. This shift in tone and energy could represent a change in perspective or mindset for the narrator of the song. Differentiating the beginning of a relationship compared to the nitty gritty. This aspect influenced the contrast of the white and black and the script and san serif typefaces working together to create a balance between the album.
